Dry Martini

Stirred, Up Spirit-Forward

The image of a martini glass, punctuated with a lemon twist, timelessly endures through film, art, and culture. A marriage of gin and vermouth, nobody is quite sure who first got them to say “I do” in the late 1800s.

  • Which gin? (we recommend Fords Gin)
  • Which vermouth?
  • How much gin, how much vermouth?
  • Bitters?
  • Which garnish?
  • What glass?

The most personal of cocktails. Everybody has (or should have) an opinion on how to make the perfect martini.

Ingredients

  • 2.5 parts Fords Gin
  • 0.5 parts Dry Vermouth

Instructions

  • Place all ingredients into a mixing glass.
  • Add ice.
  • Stir until ice cold.
  • Pour into chilled cocktail glass.
  • Add garnish.
  • If lemon peel, express over the top of cocktail.
  • If Olive, skewer 2 and place inside cocktail.
