Aviation

Shaken Citrusy, Floral

Invented in 1916, this drink was created to honor the first generation of pilots who fearlessly took to blue skies just ten years prior. The measure of Violette gives the drink a hypnotizingly blue/violet appearance.

Ingredients

  • 2 parts Fords Gin
  • .75 parts Lemon Juice
  • .5 parts Crème De Violette
  • .5 parts Maraschino
  • .25 parts Simple Syrup

Instructions

  • Shake all ingredients with ice, then strain into a cocktail glass.
  • Garnish with cherry.
