Featured in Harry Craddock’s 1930 The Savoy Cocktail Book, the gimlet is a very simple cocktail with gin and lime cordial.
Many bartenders today opt for fresh lime and a dash of simple syrup, but with a quality lime cordial you can stir up a gimlet similar to the original recipe.

Preparation:

2 parts Fords Gin
1/2 part quality Lime Cordial, such as El Guapo

Add gin and lime cordial to a mixing glass. Stir until chilled, and strain into a coupe or martini glass. Garnish with a lime wheel
