Ever wondered what makes a Gin ‘Gin’?
A gin is a neutral spirit flavored with botanicals such as seeds, fruits and roots. Essential oils within the botanicals combine with alcohol to give intentional character.
There are no limitations on the amount of botanicals you can use, however... the largest single flavouring ingredient must be Juniper.
In making Fords, we use nine botanicals steeped for fifteen hours before distillation. This yields an exceptionally high oil content, great for martini’s and other cocktails alike.
